Microsoft Windows is the most popular operating system in use today. And when it comes to email clients, many would say that Microsoft Outlook is the most popular email client in use as well. Outlook allows you to add many types of email accounts to the app such as Gmail, Outlook.com, iCloud and Yahoo Mail.

If you don’t have a Microsoft Office 365 account and still want to use Outlook on your computer, then you can use the free Outlook for Windows email app that is built into Windows. This used to be called Windows Mail, but Microsoft has changed its name and look to make it more universal with the real Outlook email program.
One nice feature that the Outlook for Windows app has is the ability to show you many of the email subscriptions associated with your email addresses. Many times, you will get subscribed to mailing lists automatically just by entering your email address on a website or buying something online. In this article, we will be showing you how to view your email subscriptions and unsubscribe from them in Outlook for Windows.
To view your email subscriptions in Outlook, simply go to the Outlook settings by clicking the gear icon at the upper right corner of the app. Then you can click on Mail and then on Subscriptions. If you have more than one email account configured in Outlook, you can choose that from the email dropdown list at the top of the window.
Now you should see any subscriptions that Outlook knows about related to your email address. This is most likely not all the places your email address has been subscribed to but it’s a good place to start when it comes to removing your email address from these mailing lists.
You have two options when it comes to unsubscribing from these email lists. You can click on the word Unsubscribe next to the entry and you may see a message similar to the one shown below. Then you can simply click the OK button to have your email address be unsubscribed from their list.
The only problem with this is that you do not get any confirmation from the company itself that you have been unsubscribed from their email list.
Other entries will show you a message with a link that you will be taken to so you can unsubscribe from the actual website of the company whose mailing list you are on.
When you click on the OK button in this situation, you can see that you are taken to the Adobe website where you can officially remove your email address from their subscription list.
If you would rather just block an email address, you can click on the ellipsis next to the Unsubscribe button and then choose the block option for that email list.
After you have unsubscribed from some of these email lists, you can scroll down the Subscriptions page to see which companies you have unsubscribed from.
As you can see, it’s fairly easy to view your email subscriptions and unsubscribe from them in Outlook for Windows.
