When it comes to getting a new computer, you have two choices, you can buy one preconfigured, or if you want a little more control over what hardware you will be using, you can build your own computer. You can even buy a computer already built but with no operating system installed on it if you prefer to do it yourself.

When it comes to installing Windows, the days of using a bootable DVD are nearly over and now most of the time it can be done using a USB flash drive instead. Most computer users have at least one if not several flash drives lying around on our desks. Then of course there are several ways to configure your Windows flash drive such as using the Windows Media Creation tool or even Rufus. But for those who are looking for another option, there is an app you can use called Hasleo WinToUSB Free. In this article, we will be showing you how to create a bootable flash drive to install Windows with Hasleo WinToUSB.

Hasleo WinToUSB does more than just allow you to create a bootable flash drive to install Windows on. It can also be used to create a Windows to go USB drive as well as a bootable WinPE flash drive. They even have free software that will allow you to backup your computer and clone your Windows\system drive to use on another computer or to upgrade to a faster or larger drive.

The process to create a bootable flash drive to install Windows on is very easy to do. All you need to do is install the software which can be downloaded here. Then once you run it, you will need to click on Windows Installation USB.

Then you will be prompted to choose the source for your Windows installation media. You can use an image file such as an ISO file, a DVD (if you still have one), or you can download the Windows ISO file from Microsoft right from the program itself.

Then you will need to choose the proper USB drive to have the Windows installation media be created on. One thing to keep in mind is that anything on the USB drive will be erased so make sure you back up any important files elsewhere before doing so.

As for the partition scheme, you will have three options:

  • MBR for BIOS and UEFI
  • MBR for BIOS
  • GPT for UEFI

You will most likely want to use the MBR for BIOS and UEFI option.

If your computer does not meet the system requirements to install Windows 11 or you want to install Windows with a local user account, you can check the boxes for Bypass Windows 11 system requirements and Bypass Microsoft account requirements.

If you click on the edit pencil icon next to the partition scheme selection dropdown, you can adjust the usage\layout on your USB drive before starting the creation process.

Once you have everything configured the way you like, you can then click on the Proceed button to start the process. You will then see a message telling you that the flash drive will need to be formatted, and you can then click the Yes button to continue. Depending on the speed of your computer and flash drive, this process can take a bit of time to complete.

You will then be able to view the contents of your flash drive and see the Windows installation files contained on it.

Then once you have your flash drive ready to go, you will need to boot your computer to it and then you can start the Windows installation process.
