How to Easily Add Comments to Folders in Windows File Explorer

You may not have known that you can add comments to folders in File Explorer so that way when you view these folders you can see these comments next to them. In this article, we will be showing you how to add comments to folders in Windows File Explorer.

Since many people share the same computer, it makes sense that you may want to be able to add comments to folders to tell other users things such as what types of files to put in the folder or not to delete any files from the folder and so on.

There is an older (and free) tool called StyleFolder that will let you easily add comments to your folders without having to go through all the technical steps that many people try to use to accomplish this. Once you download and install StyleFolder, you can then run it and add a folder to the app by clicking on the Browse button to select it. We will add a folder called Confidential Files to the app.
